Diane Hendricks
From Playboy Bunny to richest self-made woman in America...
Born to dairy farmers in rural Wisconsin, Diane Hendricks was a teenage mom at 17, working as a Playboy Bunny to support herself.
By 35, she was selling custom-built homes when she met Ken Hendricks, a roofer’s son and high school dropout who shared her ambition.
In 1982, with nothing but lines of credit and a relentless work ethic, they launched ABC Supply.
A wholesale distributor of roofing, siding, and windows.
ABC Supply expanded nationwide, securing its place as the largest distributor of roofing materials in the U.S.
But tragedy struck in 2007 when Ken died unexpectedly.
Many assumed Diane would step aside. Instead, she doubled down.
Under her leadership, ABC Supply made its biggest acquisitions, buying rival Bradco in 2010 and L&W Supply in 2016.
Today, with over 900 locations and $20.4B in annual revenue, the company is an industry giant.
But Diane’s impact goes beyond business.
She has poured millions into revitalizing Beloit, Wisconsin.
Rebuilding entire blocks, funding schools, and bringing jobs back to the town where ABC was born.
She’s also one of the biggest political donors in the country.
