Allison Robinson

She had to face the choice between motherhood and career.

So she built a company that said: not anymore.

In 2015, Allison Robinson had just given birth to her first child when she faced the same impossible question millions of women do: Can I have a fulfilling career and be the mom I want to be?

Instead of accepting the status quo, she built The Mom Project.

A digital marketplace connecting over 1.5 million moms with 3,000+ companies committed to flexible, family-friendly work.

"Women will achieve the impossible to build a better life for their families," Allison once said.

Under her leadership, The Mom Project raised a record-breaking $116M for female workforce development.

More than any other company in the space.

And she didn’t stop there.

In 2020, she launched RISE, a non-profit that upskills and empowers women of color for high-paying careers.

In just two years, RISE increased annual salaries for its participants by an average of $10,000.

Creating $1.1B in lifetime earning potential.

But the road wasn’t easy.

Despite The Mom Project’s massive success, Allison made the difficult decision to step down in 2024, citing a misalignment with the company’s evolving direction.

Yet, the legacy she built remains stronger than ever: a future where mothers never have to choose between work and family.
