Sheryl Sandberg
“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”
At 24, Sheryl Sandberg was tackling health crises in India as a World Bank research assistant.
By 29, she was chief of staff to the U.S. Treasury Secretary during the Asian financial crisis.
And at 38, she became the COO of Facebook (now Meta).
The driving force behind turning a social media platform into a global tech company.
In 2001, after earning her MBA at Harvard, Sheryl joined Google, growing its ad and sales team from 4 people to 4,000.
Then, she caught the attention of Mark Zuckerberg, who recruited her to Facebook in 2008.
Her mission? Make the platform profitable.
Under Sheryl’s guidance, Facebook earned over $100B in annual revenue, paving the way for its IPO in 2012.
She also became the company’s first female board member, advocating for women’s leadership in a male-dominated industry.
Her bestseller, "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead", ignited a movement, inspiring over 50,000 Lean In Circles worldwide.
But her journey hasn’t been without challenges...
From navigating the Cambridge Analytica scandal to facing personal tragedy with the loss of her husband, Sheryl has shown resilience time and again.
In 2022, she stepped down as Meta’s COO.
Today, she continues her advocacy through the Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation and her venture fund.
