Kristin Peck
Kristin Peck always had a plan.
An MBA.
A consulting job.
Leadership roles at Pfizer.
Then, in 2012, she helped spin off Zoetis, turning it into a standalone animal health giant.
By 2020, she became CEO, leading a Fortune 500 company that operates in 100+ countries.
But while her career soared, her personal life was filled with heartbreak.
Kristin and her husband spent years trying to start a family.
What followed was a devastating journey: five miscarriages, six fertility treatments, four fertility doctors, a surrogate’s miscarriage, and even a birth mother struggling with substance abuse.
She endured preeclampsia, a fertility nurse charged with murder, and the emotional toll of loss after loss.
And yet, like so many working women, Kristin showed up every day.
Leading teams, making billion-dollar decisions, and quietly carrying a pain few knew about.
In 2023, Zoetis launched Librela, the first monoclonal antibody therapy for osteoarthritis pain in dogs.
A condition affecting 40% of aging canines.
The impact? Life-changing.
Kristin’s own dog, Poppy, was a beneficiary.
“She used to limp and never want to get up. Now, she’s jumping on the bed and playing with us outside.”
During the pandemic, while the world scrambled for human vaccines, Zoetis stepped up.
Developing a COVID-19 vaccine for animals, proving that innovation in animal health is just as critical.
Kristin has been recognized as one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Business and named a top CEO by Barron’s.
But her greatest legacy?
Advocating for millions suffering from infertility.
In 2014, she published Perseverance, an award-winning book about her journey, donating proceeds to support families facing the same battle.
Her advice to the world? “Be kind and realize life is not a straight line.”
And yes, it all worked out.
Today, Kristin leads a $75B company while raising two children with her husband.
