Steph Hon

“We’ve all been victimized by a Ziploc bag.”

You’re standing in a hotel bathroom at midnight.

Your face wash exploded. Your serum is gone.

You’re rinsing vitamin powder off your jean.

Good news: your nightmare is over.

Steph Hon figured out how to travel without your skincare leaking.

As a former dancer and documentary filmmaker, she lived out of bags.

Constantly in transit, constantly trying (and failing) to keep her routines intact because of some stupid broken containers.

So she built Cadence: modular, magnetic, TSA-compliant capsules that are leakproof, refillable, beautiful, and made from 50% recycled materials, including ocean-bound plastic and reprocessed manufacturing scraps.

The lids magnetize to the side so you’re never fumbling with caps.

Each capsule clicks into a honeycomb so you can carry your whole routine in one hand.

They’re labeled, customizable, and designed to last forever.

Steph holds multiple patents.

She owns her warehouse.

And in 2021, she raised $4.5M from powerhouse women like Steph Korey (Away), Vanessa Wittman (Glossier), and Heidi Zak (ThirdLove).

Now, Cadence has sold out multiple times and been featured by Oprah, The New York Times, and Cosmo.

Steph uses 22 capsules herself.

One set for her Monday-Sunday supplements.

Another for her skincare essentials.

And because Cadence is closed-loop, customers can send used capsules back, so they can be remade into new ones.
