Jasmin Larian Hekmat
While studying at FIT in New York, Jasmin Larian Hekmat started designing goddess-inspired flower crowns for friends.
But when strangers began offering to buy them off her head, she knew she was onto something.
She launched Cult Gaia in 2012 with a focus on wearable art.
But it wasn’t until the Ark Bag, a sculptural bamboo handbag, that her brand became a movement.
Thousands joined the waitlist. Celebrities carried it. Instagram turned it into an icon.
Most brands chase trends. Jasmin creates them.
Inspired by femininity, nature, and architecture, she expanded Cult Gaia into ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear, swim, and fragrance.
All designed to be conversation starters as much as functional pieces.
In 2017, she was named to Forbes 30 Under 30.
Today, Cult Gaia is sold worldwide, with flagship stores in LA and Europe, an Instagram following of 1.7 million, and a devoted community that keeps coming back for more.
Jasmin’s approach? If it doesn’t make you stop and stare, it’s not Cult Gaia.
